Artist Statement

24" × 16" Metal Print

Taken during the summer of 2021 at Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium, this photograph captures a quiet moment as a seal moves effortlessly through a pool of glowing blue light. The contrast between the silhouette of the animal and the surrounding water creates a sense of calm, movement, and wonder.
